Faces - of the Museum

As I sit here typing - and watching the snow falling, I think about the many things that participating in the museum brings to my life. I enjoy working with the people in the museum. I like talking to the visitors that come to see the museum during the summer and being a part of the little social events. Events like the cleanups in the springtime, the picnic, and my all time favorite the annual Christmas party. I personally love potlucks. I love the variety of home cooked food.

During this years party we were blessed to have live entertainment. Dr. Kim Knight and his daughter Kara performed our favorite holiday songs. Dr Knight played the bass, and Kara played the violin. What an excellent performance. Dr Knight, Kara and all the people who helped put the evening together deserve a standing ovation.

Elections - The museum elections are coming up at the March annual meeting. Now is the time to submit your nominations. Please Note: if nominating someone (or yourself) as a write-in for an office, they must have been a paid up member for 2 years.

For trustee they must have been a paid up member for 1 year. Also, you MUST have their permission to nominate them. Please include the nominated persons phone number. Please mail nominee's name and phone number to arrive by 14 Feb 2009 to the Nominating Committee at:

Ballots will be mailed to all paid up members in the next newsletter.

If you cannot attend the annual meeting and election on the 21st of March 2009 at 6:00 pm, you can mail your ballot to arrive by 20 March 2009.

Earl Daniels the president of the museum will not run again.

Nominations are wide open. We need some strong leadership so get involved, nominate yourself, and come to vote.
