Faces - of the Museum

What is the best way to get new faces to come and see the museum? Well throw a party of course! So that is exactly what we did. On Saturday July 21 first we held our first ever "Block Party". With Ruth Fuehring leading the charge and encouraging every one to participate the Block Party seemed to be very popular.

I personally worked the front gate for a few hours, and I am sure that many of the people who came were local and neighborhood people who come past the museum everyday, but have never come in to look around. More on the block party later.

This summer is busy with the Block Party, the Murder Mystery Dinner in the Diner, the Car Show, and in October the NKPHTS Convention.

All of these events bring people into the museum, but also (yes you guessed it ) take volunteers to make them successful Jump in and help out.

Hopefully you knew that the Cable Caboose is available on the Museum Web Site. But what you may not know is the version the website is in color. We don't print and mail the hard copy in color, because of the added printing cost. But on the internet - color is basically free. The link to web site in case you forgot is http://www.madrivermuseum.org/.
