Property Donated to Museum

Mr. Steve Kemper of Kemper Iron and Metal has graciously donated two parcels of property to our museum. The first is the open lot directly across Southwest St. from our Coach yard. We have maintained the grass and have used this area for parking and our annual Car Show for many years. The other is the original Kemper Iron and Metal location on Monroe Street. Plans are to tear down the walls of the building leaving a three foot high platform and turn it into a public train viewing platform. We wish to extend a HUGE Thank You to Mr. Kemper for his most generous donation. As the project moves along, we will keep updates coming in the Caboose Cable.

Signing the transfer documents are clockwise from top left: Steve Fuhr, Director, Bellevue Development Corp; Dave Wallingford, attorney taking care of Land Deeds: Steve Kemper, Owner of Kemper Iron and Metals; Chris Beamer, President, Mad River & NKP Railroad Society, Inc.

In Memoriam

We've lost another long-time member. Sadly we must report the passing of Martha Graebner from Norwalk, Ohio. Martha and her late husband Edwin had been members for several years and were faithful volunteers at the museum. Martha was a delightful and friendly lady who enjoyed meeting and visiting with everyone she met at the museum. Our sympathies to her family.
