  • Our Monthly Meetings.........by Ruth Fuehring

The monthly membership meetings are held the last Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm in the Freight House.

When was the last time you attended?

Unfortunately, through the years the meetings have dwindled and often only a handful of members are present. I'm sure we all have good reasons, at least part of the time, however, we need to become more involved with the museum and society we've all worked so hard for.

Is there a specific reason you seldom attend? If so, please let your Officers or Board members know, if there's something we can do to remedy this situation, we will. Yes, we're all getting older, we're all busy with work, families and other interests. But the fact is, we care enough to continue our membership and surely there's a good reason we do.

I personally have made an effort over the past year or so to arrange for programs at our monthly meetings. I haven't always been able to have them set up in time to let you know in the newsletter, but I'm trying to remedy that. At this time I don't have an April program, however, I am still working on that. Please try to make the meeting & I'll try to make sure there's something of interest going on.

Also, if you know of any prospects for an interesting program, please let me know and I'll see if I can work it out. Call me at 419-483-6235 or drop a line marked ATTN: Ruth to the museum's address.
