We got through the spring clean up with a lot of help from the local Boy Scouts. Shown in the picture above are the Boy Scouts, parents and museum members that worked this particular Saturday.
If you do nothing else this summer you have to stop in to see the renovation of the gift shop. The crew completely removed everything, painted and re-carpeted the area. We added a few new fixtures and Patty (Gray) has been putting everything back together to have a better flow and presentation.
I know we ask for volunteers in every news letter but Patty really needs a person to volunteer to run the gift shop one day a week. Virginia Daniels, one of the regular gift shop volunteers, fell and broke her hip and will be out of commission most of the summer. Our prayers go out to Virginia for a speedy recovery. If you can give four hours a week please call Patty. It is easy, even I have done it !
Have a good summer, and visit your museum at least once !
