A Bit of History
In a previous Cable Caboose Newsletter I presented the notion
of compiling a book about the formation and history of the Mad River and NKP society
Museum. I have since then received several responses encouraging the idea and offers to help.
I have drafted a Front Cover, Forward, and outlined a Table of Contents. This was presented to the BOD and they "blessed" the concept, so I will move forward.
I have received a big block of information about the earlier years from a museum member. I have scanned the information into the computer.
This information stopped at about 1990, so if you anything after that, it would help the cause.
We are looking for (copies of) any original photographs of as many significant events as possible. If you have any to share please provide a copy we can have, not to be returned. Write on the back of each picture a date. If possible write the photographer's name. If you only have one copy don't pay to have them reproduced. Contact us and we will get it and scan it.
We still accept railroad related stories for the Bit of History column in the Caboose Cable. Please submit your stories via e-mail if possible.

The museum participated in the Lyme school Spelldown on March 27, 2009 by donating the Champion, Runner Up and Participant plaques. The ten contestants were the top five spellers in the fifth and sixth grades. Kalie Voss became the champion speller and Emily Bollenbacher was the runner up.
