Faces - of the Museum What happens when you mix a great guest speaker with history and a good story to tell? You end up a general membership meeting that is interesting and very well attended. That is exactly what happened during the May General Membership meeting when our guest speaker Mr. Jim Semon presented the story of the Clydesdale - a truck manufactured in our neighboring city of Clyde, Ohio. |

Jim is a long time Mad River Museum member, friend of the museum, and former board member. Jim has many interests including Trains, Trolleys, Trucks and I understand Jim has also given presentations on Great Lakes (ore) boats. Jim is a photographer and researches historical topics. Jim presented to the museum a copy of some Nickel Plate Advertising from around the beginning of the last century. This is a picture Jim presenting the gift to Chris Beamer, Society President. |

Many thanks to Jim for coming and presenting a great program. Also thanks to Ruth Fuehring for getting an interesting guest speaker and putting together the programs. I'm sure Ruth would appreciate anybody that can and is willing to give presentations for the General Membership meetings contacting her. If we know ahead of time, we can post events like this in the newsletter and on the website. |
