A Bit of History

A Bit of History Discontinued

At the November BOD meeting, an opinion was expressed that the Bit of History column is not relevant to the current events of the museum, so should not be in the newsletter.

I would like to know what you the members and readers think. Please send me your opinions and suggestions of what you would like to see in the newsletter. You can send them US mail to:

Mad River & NKP Museum
Attn.: Dale Owens
233 York Street
Bellevue, Ohio 44811

Or e-mail: madriver@onebellevue.com put into the subject line "Forward to Dale Owens".

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions about the newsletter. I will consider any submittals of information you would like to have in the newsletter.

It was also suggested sending the newsletter by e-mail and saving on postage. I am OK with it, but we would have to get a list of e-mails of those that would want them e-mailed. Please tell us what you think.

Other Notes:
The newsletter is posted on the museum web site at: http://www.madrivermuseum.org/. Click on the Caboose Cable link to see back copies of the newsletter. If you want to get it from there and not have one mailed to you, send us a message.

Ruth Fuehring is heading up a committee for future events to promote the museum, and raise funds. In the next issue of the newsletter we will publish a list of ideas the committee has come up with. Contact Ruth if you have some ideas. One idea is to serve dinners in (one of) the dining cars.

Thanks Ruth for the "promotional" diner in the dinning car - It was great !
