Faces - of Museums

It's a couple of weeks before Christmas and once a gain I'm getting behind on getting the newsletter out. In fact I'm sitting here at the Vintage Lionel Train Display in down town Bellevue. Our friend Carl Nourse donated the use of several of his trains for us to show. We have one big layout with a couple of engines and cars (sets) as old as 1903, and 1920. These are "hands off" for most as they are a bit delicate, let alone rare.

We also have the use of four other train sets that kids of all ages are allowed to run. A reoccurring story from many of our older visitors is how they had a set when they were a kid that "looked a lot like that".

Along with the trains we also have a small assortment of items from the Trackside Gift shop. We have sold a number of T-shirts and train related ornaments. Even though we wish that we had a lot more visitors to the event we have enjoyed the people who have stopped by. Thanks to every one who has helped and to Carl and his helpers.

I hope everyone has a good and safe and happy holiday. See you at a Mad River & NKP Society Museum event in 2010.
