Faces - of the Museum

After almost five years I have decided that I don't want to be the Newsletter Editor any more. I told Chris Beamer last Monday that I was going to announce it in this Newsletter. Maybe in a few years I will do it again but for now I am ready to let it go. Anyone that is interested in doing it, should talk to Chris or myself. In my mind it doesn't necessarily have to be someone living in Bellevue or a Board member.

If people use e-mail to communicate events and send information to the Editor, virtually anyone can do it. It is just a matter of having the time, interest and energy, most of which I no longer have.

I will be glad to take pictures at the events that I can make. I currently e-mail the Newsletter file to the printer in Sandusky, and again I would be more than happy to pick up the printed newsletters and deliver them to Freight House, as I do now.

Back in January 1979 a group of hearty museum members traveled to West Virginia and brought back to Bellevue the Brooks 0-6-0 (B&O) switcher. It sat at the museum since that time with very little upkeep or attention. In 2008 a historical group in Dunkirk, NY bought the Brooks. This week they came to pick it up and take it back to its original line. Below are a few of the pictures taken by myself.
