After appetizers we were ushered into the dining car where we were treated to a very fine meal of prime rib, vegetables twice baked potatoes and a wonderful baked apple for dessert.

After dinner we took a walk through the # 7 and received a "Cheryl's" cookie for the road. Carl and his friends have done a wonderful job cleaning up the #7.

After dinner we presented Carl with a print of a painting that my mother had painted for the museum. Framed and matted prints of this painting are available for sale in the Trackside Gift Shop. The original was donated to the museum.

As we were walking out I took this picture of Carl sitting in the dining car talking to a man.

Thank you Carl for such a wonderful evening and particularly for taking such good care of the Roaring Camp & #7 Observation Car. Carl & Bill are making a display for Christmas in one of the vacant stores in downtown Bellevue. Look for it after Thanksgiving.

2009 Car Show

The 4th annual car show went very well even as wet weather was part of the day. There were around 110 cars and trucks at this years' show. We presented seventeen trophies and awards.

The show gives the car owners a chance to exhibit all the hard work they put into their cars. We were fortunate to have sixty two show contributors whose donations of money and door prizes made the show what it is. The contributions and awards gives the car owners a little more incentive to come out. Having the cars in town brings others out to see the cars and tour the museum. We had 19 members and 12 non-members out to help with the event. Getting people involved helps grow the museum for the future.
