Faces - of the Museum

Can A Face Of The Museum Be An Old Friend But Not be Human? Well when you are the Nickel Plate Road 765 it can be. There have been a lot of things happening around the Museum and Bellevue since the last newsletter but one the most exciting was a brief visit of the NKP 765 Berkshire. Of course that old work thing stood in my way of seeing it in full Steam.

But those people of leisure like Mike Todd and Tom Lowry were able to witness it first hand. 765 was on its way from Ft Wayne to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (south of Cleveland) for some special excursions. I did get some justice the following week. I had a vacation day and spent it at CVSR with my wife, taking pictures of 765 static in the yard. It just happened to be our anniversary (33rd) that day. What a way to spend your anniversary! Every woman's dream!

Well anyway aside from that we also had the car show, and the Nickel Plate Railroad Historical and Technical Society Convention, and after a very long wait we finally have the Anthology available. More about these on the next few pages.

As we enter the fall season and main events are nearing completion, It will soon be time to put the museum to bed for the winter.
